It does not flatten your stomach and it does not undo nine months of pregnancy in six weeks. Skip anything marketed primarily as a “snap back” shapewear product: you want the support framing, not the aesthetic one.

What nobody tells you to buy

A stack of old towels you don’t care about, a water bottle with a straw you can drink one-handed while nursing, and snacks staged at every spot you’ll sit down: couch, bed, nursing chair. None of this is glamorous. All of it matters more day-to-day than half the “must-have” lists online.
